In addressing reporters at Comic-Con, Peter Jackson talked about why he’s shooting in a new way (at 48 frames per second rather, which is twice the standard rate):

Maybe.

Or maybe Hollywood just needs to start telling actual stories again. Stories that make people feel something true. Or think about something more deeply.
